Application As Process Optimization Tool

  • Cultures start in bioreactor under production conditions
  • On the day of interest, cells from the production run are transferred into 50ml tubes
  • Process parameters are then screened in the shaken system under defined conditions for gas transfer
  • Best parameters are then verified in a bioreactor.
Ventillation
Ventillation of the culture vessel helps to avoid oxygen limitation and affects the CO2 exchange. Since the latter makes the pH highly sensitive to ventillation (accumulation versus stripping of CO2), a defined and adaptable ventillation is desirable.
